I can probably do that. It'd just be adjusting/tweaking the drones to the new, slower firing rate, so I doubt anyone could scream "ahh favouritism Anna is helping them make ships!"

Used in numbers to distract hostile vessels, these unmanned drones are fairly cheap and can do a fair bit of damage.
However their strength lies mostly in giving friendly ships enough time to destroy their targets without things shooting at them.
Crimson Commanders, your seeming inactivity fills me with pain and sadness. I do hope I'm wrong and that you're all just kicking back because we've organized ourselves well enough so far. But be warned that the Alliance is making waves as well. We are not 'hot shit' before we actually win a battle. Get those butts into gear.
On the bright side, I'm gonna get home tomorrow! I'll start some heavy 'sploiting as soon as I do. Expect to see more designs of the highest caliber.

My computer bit it.
Won't even beep at me when I turn it on.

hmmm that sucks, my psu went a while ago =/ and yeah, sorry about the general lack of activity SS, i've had a lot of work this week, but i've got an almost complete size 200 battleship, so there should be some updates soon =D
EDIT: here's a screenshot of the BB Mycenae class:
This is more or less just an Askold with more guns. Variety is always great, especially if the enemy finds it difficult to anticipate what a particular spindle will do...
It has no offensive capability to speak of. It's a "force multiplier", to put it lightly. Stick this and a bunch of Dirs in any fleet and you're as good as invincible unless the enemy fields beams.
While most small ships aim to attain an effect similar to a swarm of bees, a group of Sens has more in common with a shambling horde of zombies. They may be slow, but they're tough to kill and pack defense-ignoring beams. Good counter against targets swamped in PD or armor.

Holy shit. The Tao Tie is able to shut down 6 of my Helios for nearly two minutes. It shuts down 5 of them nearly indefinitely.
In a fleet vs fleet battle, where the opposing sides are facing each other, well shit. The other side had better hope they have beamers.
SS, I think you should set the tao tie to broadside AI, because that's where the CIWS are most efficient. Artillery would kill it then, though.

Due to lack thereof, I present: the CC-Colonizer Colony ship!
It features a moderately armored central colony section, allowing fairly high survivability should it come under attack.
In an unrelated incident, the entire team of ship-classification designators went missing today in an event that may or may not have directly involved dissatisfied ninjas.
This Mammoth has been converted to display Coalition propaganda on a giant nixie tube array. It is by far the most powerful Coalition ship ever deployed, relying not on armor, guns, or speed, but on the force of the people.
I copied SS's flakboat cause I'm boring. Eh, it was a good concept so what can I say? tried to make a smaller, slightly cheaper one, only about 2/3rds as effective though.
Bait ship. Rear is made of paper, hardened front to soak a few artillery shots as it charges ahead. Costs less than a size-75 destroyer, but has the threat mask of a goddamn battleship. I hope AI threat-prioritizing hasn't been changed, but it should still be useful, if only for the WTF factor of a bunch of massive ships careening at the enemy. Would have made it shed most of its actual mass instead...but that's probably a quick ticket to getting it banned at this point
Now lets see if I can come up with some actual combat craft...
HELs to punch through heavy armor. Hail the glorious return to FUEL RODS.

I present: The CC Hermes. It's a colonizer ship.
It's faster, less armored, but is more heavily armed than da-dooley's colony ship. However, it has a wider profile. CC Hermes
As designs can now be submitted for approval, all shipbuilders should do a once-over of their ships and post them in the "design approval sector". Especially Droid and Vidboi. We're gonna need those ships.

/me lazy tho. stupid mini-pd-nerf makes me have to go and edit.
/me does not want to.
Depressingly, I've lost access to my computer and therefore all of the unposted designs on it. In addition, I probably will not be able to go on here very often.
