So, what's everyone's musical tastes? Just curious.

Personal favourites of mine are:
Radiohead
Muse
Beatles
The Fray
Ace Combat soundtracks

To name a few:

Plus-tech Squeeze Box

Dj Sharpnel

It's the kind of music you should keep to yourself, lest you wish to garner confused looks and gazes of disgust from your friends, family and general public.

General mix of stuff really. I'm actually a preferer of instrumental music, it seems that people's singing has generally become dreadful these days.

Favourite tracks include:

Gouryella - Ligaya (radio vocal edit)
Steve Vai - Get The Hell Out Of Here
Gary Hoey - Lost Dreams (accompanies random video - Yes, I am HelmutVillam in the comments section!)
John Williams - Order 66
Green Day - Wake Me Up When September Ends
Keane - Somewhere Only We Know
Cypress Hill - Rap Superstar
Aha - Take On Me

Possibily the most mixed batch of songs ever seen. But that's me.

I tend to hang more towards the harder types. Rock, industrial, some electronic and metal, mostly. Favourites would be:

The Prodigy
Linkin Park
Nine Inch Nails
Guns 'n' Roses
Daft Punk
Tokio Hotel

... etc. etc. That's what I listen to in Sandbox mode too, mostly.

My taste in music is pretty wide ranging, but my favorite genre of music is classical. Orchestral to be precise as opposed to oprea (I like some chorus, but I can't stand individual opera)... Call me strange, but there's just something about rousing scores like Tchaikovsky's 1812...

My favorite single piece, though, is actually Faith of the Heart by Rod Stewart. It's the soundtrack of my life, you know... :)

There are several genres I can't stand, but topping them all has got to be rap... Absolutely awful spoken lyrics (it seems as if most rappers can't actually sing) with equally awful instrumentation. There's nothing to like about it if you ask me...

My biggest guilt pleasure? Probably either Another Small Adventure from the Sturat Little 2 soundtrack or You Know I Will by Lucas Grabeil...

I like... well... many many things... I like whatever sounds good, don't know how brief I can be in explaining my tastes... Maybe the best way to do it is to list whatever is on my Foobar playlist right now?
Here it goes then, bold ones are favorites...
System of a Down, Serj Tankian, Foo Fighters, Muse, Queen, Bill Withers, Blink 182, Offspring, David Guetta, Daft Punk, Kaiserchiefs, Strokes, Arctic Monkeys, Editors, Prodigy, Linkin Park, Angie Stone, Placebo, Angels and Airwaves, Royksopp, Lord of the Dance, Gothan Project, Theivery Corporation, REM, Fatboy Slim, Lacuna Coil, Nightwish, Evanescence, Hammerfall, Blind Guardian, Rhapsody(of Fire), Stratovarius, Symphony X, Marilyn Manson, Rob Zombie, Red Hot Chili Peppers, White Stripes, Mindless Self Indulgence, Morcheeba, Kenji Kawai, Epica, Enya, Enigma, Era, Vangelis, Apocalyptica, Yann Tiersen, Clint Mansell, Asian Dub Foundation, Carl Orff, Mozart, Bach, Beethoven, Tchaikovsky, Wagner, Maksim Mrvica(a few other local musicians and bands noone is likely to recognize).

And yeah, I dislike Rap with a passion.

In almost no particular order:

Evanescence
Lacuna Coil
Nightwish
Fort Minor
Within Temptation
Fuel
Submersed
Disturbed
Linkin Park
Rammstein
Ill Nino
Theory of a Deadman
Drowning Pool
Flyleaf
Skillet
Papa Roach
Prodigy
Three Days Grace
Voltaire
Celtic Woman

I also like some classical/orchestral stuff, and I like all variety of music, with a few exceptions, such as ALL country music, most rap, and almost all pop songs. But most of my favourite stuff seems to be Alternative Metal, "Nu-metal" i fucking hate that term, some goth-type and "emo" music, though I'm not goth or emo at all, some hard rock, some alternative rock... there's also a lot of Christian bands there, which is funny, because I'm not actually a Christian.

I like rap. Not new rap, which is probably most people judge rap on, but real rap, 70s to early 90s. I hate people who generalize, taking gangsta rap to be an indication of it all. Especially when you decide the lyrics are crap when most of the time you will never listen to them. If you think rap lyrics are crap, listen to it properly, someone like Public Enemy or Run DMC or KRS-One and you will realize that a lot of rap (specifically, Political Rap) has more intelligent lyrics than 90% of any other music.
