Creating Planets!

Whilst surfing the web for a decent planet simulation software I came across PlanetCreator. Its a great little freelance built program that generates a range of planet types from vast groups of maps, masks and cloud layers. Sadly I have since forgotten the site I got it from.

Anyhow here are a few examples:

I think this would be a great way to make planets for the 'Delphinius gulf wars' as there are plenty of variations and its certainly easy enough to do, so if you guys give me a general description of your factions home planet and I'll run a few trials. I've already made Nove:

I need a large gas giant composed mainly of argon, xenon, and hydrogen. About 126 moons. The home moon is earth-like (74% land mass) in temperature however it is 1.4x earth's mass, A jungle moon that is 2x mar's size. An ice moon slightly larger than that, A desert moon that is 3.6x Earth's mass, and an ocean moon slightly smaller than the desert moon (3.2x Earth's mass) Ocean moon should be all water no land with depths up to 2,000 miles.

If this is too much you don't have to do it. On any faction I do though, the desert planet will remain the same. It should be normal desert sand.

I can't make planetary systems I'm afraid but I could do each important body separately.

That's fine. Just do them as you want since they are not really necessary and, in reality, it isn't really important to me. The option was tempting, and so I took my chance.

Mior. A temperate class M planet with an environment similar to Earth. Hardly any land occupies the equatorial region and the planet itself is about half ocean. Another third or so of the land occupies its freshwater polar caps. The capital city can be seen from orbit along a massive lake in its southern hemisphere. Various mountain ranges snake along the coasts of each continent.

Heh, I'm not sure it can be that accurate but I'll fiddle with the preset groups and see what can be done.

How's this doogie:
strangely this took ages to render.

Still working on storm's.

Edit:

Or maybe you would prefer big 'Coruscant' like cities:
A nice industrial haze around this one.

Storm, yours are proving to be a bit more challenging. here's what I have so far:
Your gas giant (hope the colour is OK)
Your gas giant (hope the colour is OK)
A desert moon
A desert moon
An Ocean moon
An Ocean moon
The jungle moon is a pain in the butt to do but I'll keep trying.

These are so cool man! I really like the Ocean moon and the desert moon, they look really cool! The gas giant is a biiiiiiit meh, but then again, that's what I want it to look like since well... that's what gas giants look like *shrugs*. It's all really cool, thanks!

I like the advanced city look, but that industrial haze isn't really what I had in mind. Regardless, that's pretty nice.

The other moons:
This took some tinkering but I got a decent result

An average temperate one

Hope the jungle is OK, Im still not so sure about it.

Doog, I can nullify that effect if you would prefer.

Also, are the camera angles on these good or would you guys like something more cinematic?

I love the average temperate one, but the jungle moon lacks.... jungle. It needs more saturated greens and barely any water except a few lakes (the whole thing is a giant tropical rain forest with a patch of desert on one side) and a couple rivers.
