This being the first forum I've ever joined-recently at that-I am still trying to find my footing. It would be of great use to get an explanation of the terms used.

What I already know...

Thread- a conversation.

Ban- Not certain, but basically means you're not allowed to come back. Possibly ever.

Trolling- pestering, bullying, etc.

Moderator- sort of like a policeman, I think?

Any extra knowledge would be appreciated. Please forgive my lack of knowledge.

There's two types of bans: Temp Ban and Permaban. Temp ban is for a couple of days/weeks. Permaban is exactly what it means.

To be more specific, what do the phrases "necro a thread"and"bump a thread" mean? Just curious.

To bump a thread is to post, thereby moving it up the list of threads. This is fine as long as you are the creator of a thread, the thread has been posted in by someone else in the past month, or you have something extremely important to add which doesn't merit its own thread.

All other bumping is necro-ing, which is, to raise a thread from the dead. Also, a good way to anger the mods.
