Got bored and did some random(ish) surfing. The newscientist website is as interesting as ever, and for some truly spectacular images check out hubblesite.org

In a few days time i'll be starting my project work on the Herschel ATLAS galaxy survey, maybe i'll be able to get some cool pictures but I'm not sure how the legalities work since most of the data is brand new. I'll be concetrating on elliptical galaxies but we're in the micron band and so the real pictures might not be as flashy as some of the more common, colour edited ones you see.

Well, if the website in question lets you download images without asking for a fee I doubt you'll get into trouble using said image as a backdrop. Fleet exercises over Jupiter anyone?
