Questions that baffle you/ or random thoughts.

Post by Homer »

Have you ever had a though or question you seemingly can't figure out?
Well, this is the place for them! (don't post anything like "why do people believe in God" or any troll shit like that)

Well heres mine.. I was reading a article about astronomy.. And it said so and so is like 5billion years old. And I thought if the universe had no true starting point besides that singularity thing or whatever it is where does it come from? Since it can't be infinite because we couldn't possibly be here if it started infinitely long ago... :?:

I don't know if that makes any sense..

Might I point out that religious discussion is already prohibited by the rules? I believe it's stated in the thread directly above this one, as a matter of fact. Nonetheless, it is hardly "troll shit," as you so eloquently put it. There are quite valid reasons questions concerning the human psyche, religion, infinity, the universe at large, et cetera have occupied scholars for thousand of years. Perhaps the most obvious is because so many of them don't have easy answers, which ironically enough makes them perfectly suited for this thread. Generally speaking, the sole reason such topics are avoided is because people feel so strongly about them that unless every party involved exercises restraint the conversation devolves into two opposite and exclusive beliefs each trying to convince the other about their correctness.

But enough of that. I submit to you that your starting question can, whether correctly or incorrectly, be interpreted as the reverse of such topics, and as such is equally prone to start arguments and promote bad feeling. In short, good sir, I question whether it is appropriate material for forum discussion.
"Okay. I'm gonna get your money for ya. But if you don't get the President of the United States on that phone, you know what's gonna happen to you?"
"What?!"
"You're gonna have to answer to the Coca Cola company."

No because light passes through them. Remember, they can't be seen in mirrors?

Well if light passes through them, how could they be visible? (assuming any exist)

I noticed Angus Burger is one letter away from Anus Burger.

And yet, why does it taste SO GOOD?
Realism, seriously? It's a space ship game. Realism was thrown out the window a long time ago.

Is "This statement is a false" true or false?

You are in a rocket going 0.75c. You shine a flashlight inside the rocket pointing in the direction of motion. How fast does that light appear to you? How does the speed of those photons compare with a beam of light traveling beside the rocket?

Here's one that's based off of Droid's:
Sentence B is false.
Sentence A is true.

What is the sound of one hand clapping?
If a tree falls in the forest and no one hears it, does it make a sound?
A gay as fuck girl and loving it.

If a mime dies, and the only one around to see it is a tree, does anyone care?
