What else are you in to?

Post by Krishach »

Simply that. Other than BSF, what is it that plays a major part of your time? You guys know I'm into modding, for DOW, so I thought I'd share my other hobby, and ask yours.

I'm an XCMer, as a hobby, and while I'm not a videophile on youtube, and don't hold a candle on the best, I'm proud to say I'm one of the best in my city.

My sig gives it away. (Ragnarok Online) I really need to spend less time on RO and try to get some momentum on my older hobby though, which was making games. (This is the only one that was probably worth video recording, from about 2 years ago: link)

Hmm... A few things, priority from highest to lowest.

1) My mineral collection, and going out into the middle of nowhere to find valuable things.
2) My various pets. Tropical fish, cats, bonsai trees...
3) Martial arts
4) Games of all kinds, and browsing the internet for just about anything and everything. Usually ties in with the first three hobbies...
5) Botany, horticulture.

Well, I love music, rock and heavy metal, as well as a lot of alternate-rock groups.

I also love playing the guitar.

Another hobby of mine is actually history. I like learning about it, and it fascinates me.
Not enough Delta in your life? Have a look at https://twitter.com/Deltabacon1 - I do a fair amount of casting and esports analysis which may appeal to some of you who are that way inclined!

My favourite game is The Elder scrolls 3: Morrowind - I occasionally mod for it, and dabble around in the communities. I also spend forever downloading, installing and uninstalling plugins and stuff in order to get the best experience from the game. Most of my time is spent sorting out all the shit that results from having 250+ mods loaded all at once.

I'm also into trains, boats, road networks, bridges and stuff. Skyscraper City is the place I usually go to concerning that. No, I'm not a trainspotter.

I also like my military history and I occasionally research certain periods or areas of current militaries.

I occasionally draw maps of stuff, I originally wanted to be a Cartographer, but realised that there's hardly any business in that. I usually draw road maps or continent maps.

I'm a big Rugby fan, I watch games locally and on the telly. I'd love to actually play it, one of my biggest regrets is that I didn't join a team at a young age like my brothers did. I don't really have the time to dedicate myself to it nowadays.

Though I enjoy astrophysics and am interested in it, I don't really "get into" it outside of lectures and homework as much as I should. Every now and then I go to a physics and philosophy discussion.

I like walking. I can walk for miles round the city or around the countryside just on a whim. I don't like running, it gets you all smelly and you can't take in the surroundings.

Other than those weird things, I'm into many types of music, socialising, lazing around and getting highly alcoholically intoxicated in some grotty Cardiff club.

I have become a large fan of crack cocaine.

Not really, just figured I'd throw that out there to grab someone's attention.

I play a lot of games, primarily RTS games (Supreme commander was a big one until my computer began to object) and the good first person shooters (this excludes Gears of War and Call of Duty, sorry guys)
And school has this obnoxious tendency of occurring every day.

Heh, I love ES 3 Morrowind too, it was alot better than oblivion IMO.

Anyway, I play video games most of the time. Many of my favorite games have either a high level of customization, a really good story line, or are RTS games. For example homeworld, the half-life series, the armored core series, and Deus Ex are some of my favorite games/series. Alot of my friends are gamers as well so we play online alot. I also just started playing Earthbound/Mother 2.

Durring the summer I play golf and fish alot with family, and I'm planning to get back into tennis. I don't really do much during the winter months except when I go to gym.

For hobbies, well... I used to build things using lego, but I kind of get my "creative fix" from somewhere else now. :)

My main interests are in music. Not really any kind in particular... I can appreciate most music, if its played well. Minus rap... I don't really consider it music, just poetry with percussion, usually.

I play about 99.99% guitar and about 0.01% piano :P
I play just about anything from warm acoustic music to heavy metal. I hate limiting my self to any one thing... that's probably one of the reasons I haven't joined a band yet. Many bands are filled with musically narrow-minded people who only like to play one kind of music. I kinda feel that those kind of people would do nothing but hold me back as a musician.

I'm also into MMOs. I play WoW and EVE online... thats about it. Prefer EVE to WoW though, more depth to EVE.

I do some basic XCM, not much more than being able to do the fans and a few of the easier cuts fairly well though. Just moved into magic as well, quite liking it ( when it goes right...)

apart from that, I play a fair amount of computer games, such as WAR and a lot of the Source engine games on Steam. And I currently can't wait for Empire: Total war to come out, in just over a week's time.

Other oddball hobbies include campanology ( bell ringing) and jogging everywhere instead of walking.

I'm quite much into drawing and spriting things, which is one of the things why I specialy like the custom sprite import.

I'm also into MMO's and Old school Doom games, wads and mods especialy.

My other more real life things which I'm into are Heavy Metal Music, and Festivals during summer and I also like studying psychology.

Games; Halo 3, Mass Effect, some AC4a,... Crysis, EaW.

Other hobbies are drawing (paper and pencil, nice 'n oldskool), lotsa reading, spending time with my girlfriend (best hobby of 'em all)... And, my most oddball hobby, Robot Wars. Yes, I have one of those things. They cancelled the show, but in Belgium, the Netherlands, France, Germany and Great Britain there's still some competition. Anyone recall the name 'Hard'?
