Not American? No problem! Vote Obama or McCain anyway!

For everything else. Video games, music, movies, sports, you name it.

Not American? No problem! Vote Obama or McCain anyway!

Now, I know that politics isn't something we're supposed to be talking about, but I figured that, given this is really just a bit of fun, that I'd be OK to share this with you guys...

It's called "If the world could vote?" and it's an Iceland based website (which might explain why over 5,000 votes have been cast from that small country) dedicated to a world-wide poll that asks a simple question, who would you vote for, Barack Obama or John McCain? So far, the people of Earth have cast about 250,000 votes from all but about a dozen of the world's 190 or so nations and the website's stated (though half-joking) goal is for the number of votes cast in the poll to exceed the voter turnout of America's 2004 presidential election of about 122-and-a-quarter million...

And so far it seems, interestingly enough, that the entire world bar two countries is in the tank for Obama... The two countries I'm referring to being Africa's Burkina Faso (from which two votes have been cast, both for McCain) and Europe's Former Yugoslavian Republic of Macedonia (from which about 390 votes have been cast, about 90% of which have been for McCain).

Want your country to be represented? Then vote, and let your voice be heard, I have! Americans are welcome of course (indeed, 80,000 of the votes cast have come from the US, around 82% of which are for Obama)...

So, who's it gonna be? Remember folks, this is just a bit of fun, so be civil and don't take it too seriously... :)

As for me, I've made my choice... Aussies for Obama, oi, oi, oi! :!:

You didn't read my first sentence, did you?

And that's all this is, just a bit of fun... It's not meant to be a hardcore discussion or anything... :)
