For those of you who don't know, Spore Creature Creator (the creature building part of the game) should be out 17th (16th for europeans). There will be a free demo verision with 25% of the content, and a full version, 100% creature parts, costs 10$. Actually, the demo can already be grabbed (seems it leaked) - do a search on your regular torrent site or get it from here: http://www.megaupload.com/pl/?d=xim81wur . There are already thousands of creations on sporepedia ( http://www.spore.com/sporepedia#qry=all ). So far ive seen 21 penises, 8 pikachus and countless t-rexes.

Yeah, really, who would want to play with a creature creator? That's totally worthless. What next, building your own spaceships? Oh, wait... yeah, I guess this community is about perfect for liking Spore, at least in core concept

Seriously though, quite a few people i know have the same feelings (minus the cute part) about BSF ships. Actually, very few like the style.

Same with Spore. Its cartoony, like that piece of shit WoW, make no mistake about that. Thats Spore's established style, and not everyone has to like it. I abhored it myself at first, but it gradually grew on me. Plus its much easier to make a good looking (in its own style) cartoony creature than a decent realistic or dark/grungy one.



Do you guys know theres and extremely easy way to share your creations with others? Those creatures are saved as small PNG's, and the data is embeded inside those files. You can find them in My Documents\My Spore Creations\Creatures or something like that. When youve downloaded one to HDD, all you have to do to open them is to drop them inside the creature creator. Now, gimme, i want them!

Also, if you find that your creatures have dissapeared for some reason, don't worry, theyre still there, its just some display bug. Close down spore, go to My Documents\My Spore Creations\Creatures, move your creatures .png out of the folder. Run CC again, drop the png inside CC. Voila, although it won't be listed under 'my creations' category in the browser.
