Some time ago I stumbled upon a thread somewhere in the BSF forums that had a fictious, but rather awsome description of BSF came to be as a way for all of planet earth to design space ships. Had something to do with a dying alien race deciding to give humanity the tools to create any ship they wanted to, NASA asking for exclusive rights to the technology, and the president laughing at their atempts to design spaceships.
So can anyone help me out here?
