When I save files with shipmaker they get saved with a lock on them (some sort of sharing or permissions thing) and I can't view them in windows explorer. I already made myself the "owner" of the BSF folder and gave myself full control (on the security screen when you right click a folder and click properties) so I don't know whats going on. My best guess is that shipmaker is making it so that only shipmaker and BSF (and not windows explorer) can view the files. I haven't experienced this with any other program but I only recently got windows 7 so the issue might not be related to shipmaker at all.
Other things:
- I can see files made by vista and XP shipmakers just fine
- I can see the files in explorer if I save them outside the C drive
- This isn't game breaking in any way, just slightly annoying

Fix:
Save the ship files outside of program files. This is the same kind of issue as BSF not running at all if you save it in program files.
