whenever i start either SM or BSF all the colours are reset back to black, etting them to what i have normally and then quiting or modifying the SMdefault or SMcolours file doesn't help a bit.

help please?
i've also tried redownloading and reinstalling but the problem still is there, i'n using Windows XP btw

You mean the 3 basic colours? You can modify those in BSF itself. If you change them in SM they will just change back.

read before you post please, maarten, and since im at it anyway, i meant all colours, enemies, unknowns,allies,my own ships, just everything, and ofcourse the SM colour selection tab, all 3 standard colours change to black as well as all others.

Have you tried editing the bfconfig.ini and bfdefault.ini files?

Are the files you've edited reverted back to some previous version after loading, or are they staying the same?

Have you tried making them read-only?

i've allready tried everything, i'm thinking this is some faggotry from windows side, i'll try reinstalling a earlier image of windoews and see if it works.

I've had a similar problem, I removed BSF, deleted the folder (there where leftovers) and then redownloaded and reinstalled.
