well. It's a rather frequent bug.
at some point a bug appears (no messages or anything)
when some part gets destroyed it stays there (a "corpse" part flies off, while the part itself remains at place.)
when the core gets blown up the whole ship blasts, but remains with 1 hp\part. well, when a beam blasts a ship after that bug such things happen.
a bug appeared at mission 10 of Grinder when I tested my new corvette.
When the core gets blown up by a beam there are SO MANY wrecks(flying parts) and power-ups that even my beefy PC gets owned with 1 fps.
IS there a possible solution?
Weird bug

No offense but your PC is clearly not that beefy if you are running with surfaces off, interpolation off and are getting bogged down by ship explosions. Everything is running perfectly fine for me at acceptable framerates. No ghost section problems, no insane inexplicable lag when coring enemy ships, nothing. Also, why bother cranking up the powerup spawn rate? Seems useless to me.
Have you tried reinstalling BSF? Sounds more like a corruption issue than coding issues.

My PC is a bit beefier than the one you listed down there.
I turned everything because I tested a HUGE battle today. The same bug happened. But the bug in case of a 900 part ship was that hard that fps fell down to 0.
win7 has bugs in 0.9 versions
vista has no bugs in any
xpsp3 had weird bugs in ancient versions but 0.9 works perfectly
((That means that in case of BSF win7 < Xp&vista))
Tomorrow Win7beta will be turned into Real Win7....*pets the installation disc*

I don't give a damn.
Do you mind telling me where you got this information? If it's correct I would certainly like to know, but last I had heard W7 was only being released for production in July, with the actual retailing starting about 2/3 of the way through October (I can't remember the actual date at the moment).Warpman wrote:Tomorrow Win7beta will be turned into Real Win7....*pets the installation disc*
"Okay. I'm gonna get your money for ya. But if you don't get the President of the United States on that phone, you know what's gonna happen to you?"
"What?!"
"You're gonna have to answer to the Coca Cola company."

I doubt GM properly supports W7 yet so that probably plays into it. Also, one of the main choking points of BSF's power is CPU, and yours is a bit weaker.
Still, why no surfaces and interpolation? If your PC is decent then it should have no problems with them, unless you're running massive metagame-esque fleet battles.

Massive battles are my weak point. I can't play without THE XXL SIZE Battles.
I reinstalled the game . And disabled the protection systems.
And NO BUGS.
Still Massive battles with many shipspawners are a mess and lead it to 15 FPS with all-on or 20 FPS with all-off. (Btw. I don't like the fluffy effects. So I seek the way to disable to effect of shake when something blows up because fighters are blowing so fast that I can't admire the massacre.)
Bug is solved. Protection system that Win7 gained from Vista.
*waits for BSF2*
