I've lost two precious ships
First time ,I open one of my ship ,delete almost every thing to make a new one, then SAVE AS another name, however, the origin one saved,I've no idea why.I didn't have a copy save file,so,it lost.

Next...The f*king error...I've just finish one of my pride, then in order to avoid what happened on my first lost ship ,I immedetly update all my save files.
I run then BF,found its weapom disapealed.I go back to SM,open it ,HOWEVER,it says something like'divide by 0',then I found my .SHP file broken,so,it lost.

Error,error,error......what should I do now?
Is there a debug mode?
I could config my ship only via sandbox mode, but as we know,it's very slow to lauch BF...

Help!I need some help!
I don't want to lose any of my ship else, they are MY WORKS!

You can use the word "Fuck" here on the forums. Also, lern2type so that I can understand what the hell you're saying.

First: Ship name becomes file name, not the other way around.

Change ship name to something else first.

Second: Mirror function is dangerous. You can fix sb4s by opening the file with Notepad/Wordpad and remove the weapon/module/section that is causing the error.

What kind of error are you getting in SM?

Does that mean we need to?

If you're talking about saying "fuck", I never said that he needed to, I said that he can, dumbass.
If you're talking about the second, that should be easy to understand as to why he should type to where people can better understand him.

Anyway, his problem is fixed, so there is no reason for any more posts.

If you want to make a new ship without closing SM, hold the Control key and press N. That's a safer way of doing it.

Great,at least I got one of my ship back
It was because one of the section,it's moving speed was set to 0 so there was an error!

Is this bug metioned ever? That if you set the 'TARGET DIST' in ED2(or ED?Sorry I forgot),there would be a serious error that you can't even open it to edit in SM!!!
Some important number if set it to 0 ,the SM will replace it by 0.1 or 0.01 automaticly, but this one no:target distance

You CAN set it to 0,which means it wouldn't move,it seems nice, but the SM will figure out the moving speed based on this! So the Variable ms_aspeed will set to 0.This caused a error, without edit and delete the error section in .sp4 file with notepad, you'll lose your ship ,forever.

And I have to point out that ,find an incorrect '0' in the .sp4 file with thousands of lines was an unfunny work,I did it just because of my luck(I delete the first moving section ,it works....how happy I was that time..)

I think this is a DANGEROUS BUG! 'Cause other bugs you can simply correct it in SM,but this bug never give you the opportunity to.

Thanks all of you for helping me.
And thanks god we have Mcrosoft and its notepad.

Wait till you encounter the 'depthed weapon/module error' bug.

Just DON'T clone or change the parent of weapons and sections that are depthed (W button when you select them).

Undepth them first before you clone or change their parents!

Obvious solution: Don't change the target distance if a section doesn't need to move in the first place.
