Re: v0.90c Bug Reports - READ FIRST POST
Keyboard arrows in shipmaker sometimes stop responding
Stumbled upon how to reproduce and fix this problem completely by accident while messing with triggers on my ProtoF.
Reproducing
1.Select the Edit/ED2/Eff tab.
2.Select any field as if you were going to type.
3.With the field still selected go into preview mode.
4.Come out of preview mode.
5.Select a different section or switch tabs.
Fix
1.Open the Edit/ED2/Eff.
2.Select and then deselect any typable field.
Problem solved

The angle box on thruster ex's do not work.
I don't know if this is a bug or something already found.

This is not a bug, thrusters have a special box to change their angle instead of the usual angle box.Blue-Rex wrote:The angle box on thruster ex's do not work.

(Well, it's sort bug-like, though. If it could be changed to use the regular angle box later, it would be nice.)

Speaking of thrusters...
Coloring and sometimes alpha settings on modules require multiple passes with the save function before they become permanent, and sometimes they refuse to save the color/alpha state at all, particularly after mirroring a ship. Large ships with high numbers of thrusters (yes I know, I put thrusters everywhere like a fucking Space Shuttle or something) or other modules seem to incur this bug, particularly ones up past Inferno tonnage. Remember when weapons suffered color/alpha-state loss after a save/reload cycle as well before it got fixed? I suspect a relationship with that bug.

Where might this other box be cuz I can't find it. I suspect it is right in front of me but I'm overlooking it.

I have this same error and problem here aswell, and nothing seems to work.liberator408 wrote:I've gotten an error at startup and no matter how many times I reinstall or restart it remains the same.

How do I fix this?
Even though my game has worked before in this same computer it has now started to give out this error for no reason what so ever. And I'm even on an XP computer.
Any light on this matter?

I'm not sure if this one has been found yet:
If I set the game to fullscreen using the in-game option, this is what the sandbox looks like. Note the uncapped FPS, at 300.
Now, if I use alt + enter to set the game to fullscreen while in the sandbox, this is the result:
The game remains playable, with the interface as a sort of semi-transparent overlay across the map. The interesting thing is that the framerate has increased to more than 3 times what it was before! (987)

Reproduction of the keyboard error in .90d:
1. select any item.
2. click in any editable field in which you can type (IE: not the drop-downs)
3. Select some other object
Fix:
1. select something (or keep whatever you clicked on selected)
2. click in an editable field (again, something other than drop-down)
3. either click on a drop-down field or click in empty space to deselect the field
Looks to me that the field is not properly releasing keyboard input when you select a different object, whereas it does so properly when deselecting the field by clicking on empty space.

I seem to be getting this error when I start BSF.
Any ideas?
