Game Performance

This game is really slow.

Explosion effects are not disappearing, which causes lag when enough of them amass. This picture shows the explosion effects, and other things, not disappearing. It also shows memory usage and CPU load of Battlefield Forever compared to Eve Online, both games involving space ships, while one is 3D. BFF is on the menu screen, and Eve Online is floating outside of a station.

I expect something playable. Maybe it's a problem on my end. Anyone care to enlighten me?

I had a similar effect when I turned particles off. Go into options and try turning that on if it's not on. If that doesn't work, try changing around the settings until it starts working right. BSF isn't the fastest game out there, but it's certainly playable.
seriously Anna. seriously oh my gawd seriously.

Looking at that screen shot, and based upon what you say happened with the explosion effects, I'd say that the problem isn't with the game, but with one of the settings or possibly a corrupt download.

What type of hardware do you have?

Does EVE have some kind of 'standby' mode for when it is minimised?

Wait...check how much RAM you have on your com...and also check the graphic card.

Those are the KEY two factors in deciding how fast BSF can run. It's incredibly variable.

That doesn't sound like it has anything to do with his computer; it sounds like a bug.
