I've cast my vote for BSF... I might try some of those other games, but to be honest, arcade games (which make up the majority of the other entrants) just don't tend to interest me a whole lot... I don't mind them, but I couldn't get crazy about them like I could for something like BSF...

The more publicity for BSF, the better. It doesn't get as much attention as it deserves

I voted, but i got no confirmation email :|

Hmm... me neither... I hope the vote still counts... :?

By the way, be careful around the Clean Asia game... not only does it not seem to work on Vista, but it completely ate up my system's resources when I tried to boot it up more than once (was at 100% computer usage, which forced me to restart the machine). Fortuneately I don't think it was anything sinister, given that it made it as a finalist and is in .zip format... just doesn't work on Vista it seems...

I voted.

I think your biggest competition is going to be Audiosurf. however, it just made a VERY unpopular move with its fanbase, it killed its free beta, and installed a 3 song trial before they force you to purchase the game. Since Battleships forever is remaining freeware, you just gained a HUGE leg up on them.

Agreed on both points. Audiosurf is great for a chill-out game (so not really comparable to BSF, but i digress), but the fact that its actually gone commercial basically disqualifies it, at least for me :)

And hell, even if both were commercial - Audiosurf doesn't have nearly as much staying power as BSF.

BTW, the mail arrived, had to wait an hour...

Audiosurf's selling point is that you can use your onwn music. So if you get new songs, you just got new "levels".

Battleships Forever has the same thing with the Shipmaker, but again, Battleships Forever is free.

Me? I luckily am staying with the old version of Audiosurf.. pre update. I don't have access to online, but I can play it freely. ;)

Voted for Battleships Forever and validated!

Though Tri-Arachnid is a very good game, the ShipMaker won me over. :D

I've played it.
It's totally nuts.

It's one of those "bullet hell/curtain" shmups.
It's kinda hard because of the psychadelic backgrounds which make enemy shots a little hard to see at times.
It's fun though, despite me not having beaten any of the levels yet. <_<

I still prefer Battleships Forever, however.
