That's fine, except I'm not running Firefox, I'm running Internet Explorer!

Oh and you link still doesn't work...

Internet Explorer??? Well there's the problem. IE SUCKS. Get FF, its SOOOOOOO much better. Really, it is.

That doesn't help, does it? It's not my choice, I'm stuck with it...

This wouldn't be a problem if Th15's bloody link would work, or if the brain surgeons over at YoYo games could figure out how to code their download buttons so you can use the 'save target as' function...

what dost thou mean 'stuck with it'? You can just download FF, and it replaces EE's integrated features on your comp.

He's right. I've never had a problem with the link in Firefox.

Just go to http://www.mozilla-europe.org/en/products/firefox/ and click on the big green button. Run the installer and it will ask to be your default browser on startup - this will remove most of the times IE pops up.

If you don't like Firefox, try Opera.

My parents would never agree to it, they're way too squeamish about that sort of thing... Now stop this Firefox nonsense and someone either fix that link or let me know how to change my settings, please...

You can tell them Internet Explorer is far, far more risky than Firefox - in fact it's the least secure browser commonly in use.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Criticism_ ... g_security

There is no equivalent article for Firefox, bearing in mind Wikipedia's neutrality. Firefox also can block all adverts, popups, flash animations and ActiveX controls which may be a risk.

For IE:
Tools>Internet Options>Programs Tab>Reset Web Settings

Restart IE and it should show you dialogs when you click on a file download again.

When i first got my own computer, I got firefox. I let my dad use my comp for a bit, and afterward he went and downloaded firefox because he liked it so much! Just show your parents the facts, they can't disagree after they've tried it.

Although my dad did get rid of it after awhile because his computer was complaining about having to many browsers installed :p

I'm sorry, but my parents aren't having any of it... ok? Scratch that idea...

EDIT: Don't worry, Th's hosted link is working again. See, with that one I can right click on the link and use the 'save target as' function. With the YoYo games download link I can't.

Sorry if I seemed anrgy... I was just disappointed, that's all. BF is a great game...

huh?
