And a few more from me.

I didnt quite like how that 'Generic internal section' turned out, so i redid it.

Wanted to do something with holes in the middle.

Another small detail.

And a long, multipurpouse piece.

Giant Cheese Wheel of Doom needed a friend.

Good for space stations.
th15, if you're reading this, could you please comment on the pieces ive done so far? Im not entirely sure if this is what you want, and id like some guidance style-wise.

Yeah very good indeed. You can make spirals with such sections. Like DNA shaped shipTheBlueEcho wrote:Once Again, Good Idea.Kaelis wrote:

To be honest its quite easy, and i have absolutely no experience with pixel art, nor do i use any fancy tools.kaaskopp wrote:man your sections are awesome. i tried to do something like you do, but i failed more than once.
I guess i can give you a few small hints:
1. You need to have an idea for a section first. Meaning general shape and/or function. Is it internal section, or something for outside? Is it small or big? How much detail should it have? What are its uses? Where you would put it if you were to use it? What other sections will fit with it? How does it combine?
2. Remember, it has to fit with BSF style. No big fracking guns or football balls

3. Start with a basic shape outline, then add the details.
4. Screenshot all available sections from shipmaker, compile them into a nice bitmap and have this bitmap open at all times. Whenever you are doing any details, look at BSF sections to make sure you are keeping the style. That said, don't be afraid to experiment, but not too much.
5. Take your time to get it just right. If you don't like it, redo it.
6. Have a 100% zoom (actual pixels) window constantly open to see how it looks when zoomed out.
7. Do not overdo with the detail. I know this is redundant with 4, but its really easy to clutter up your section.
Huh. These werent that small at all. Well, it works for me, at least.
