An in-game module that launches kinetic torpedoes? Hmm... Sounds really awesome... Maybe have it deployed in a similar manner as the Teller?

Suggestion: (Please ignore if already implemented/already planned to have implemented)

Upon losing all of it's weapons, a ship will automatically toggle to kamikaze mode (Just a quick thought).

tl;dr-ers will be shot on sight.

Aie, please don't.

I use ships without weapons as bait to distract the AI so my weaponed ships can get better firing angles.

It would make more sense if it only happened with the computer AI.

It is just the Human core is BF reversed. BF is based on this game you know.

25% will have looked at their ceiling
The last 25% can now feel smug because everyone else has taken orders from a little sig box.

It is? Shrug, I wasn't using the WF graphics as a reference when I drew this stuff.

As for the missile trails, there's two reasons I didn't do that:
First of all, it's a performance issue. Too many particles = slow slow game.

Secondly, it's about visual significance. Bright flaming trail like that makes the missiles look a lot more prominent than they should. The graphics for the various bullets were designed to imply their relative strength and be visually distinctive. Missiles with nasty flaming trails would look a lot more deadly than they really are.

This is the Pure Heart from WF. I tried to replicate it in BSF but it wasn't easy. Obviously since it doesn't work properly I haven't posted it up.

It's simply four corner pieces and the core. Admittedly there are some differences but they're still noticeably similar. The turrets are "Vulcans", IIRC. Kind of like accurate Gat Pulses with less spray and less shots.

The boss "Hekatoncheir" for comparison;

Also, maybe an idea for a Platform Deployer that makes user-definable small ships like the Kamikaze Missile?
This would be awesome. Being able to launch Kinetic Missles or HYTs from your ship... nice.
I think this was already suggested and turned down for various reasons.
