As much as I would like to thrash Nagaya for the final time, I'm sure I'll be able to get by with just the new shipmaker, and so should you.Hypothetical Wisdom wrote:I know that this is kind of a given, but the new version needs the two new missions that the career menu seems to have promised us.
BSF 2 suggestion topic.

I know, and the new shipmaker is great, but the plot is kind of a cliffhanger right now. And I don't mean that it needs it immediately, but it's gonna need the last two missions by v1.0.
Will work for kewl sig/av

Taken from the 0.90 release topic. Well, that's just a suggestion.DarchZero wrote:Moolah! This IS real game!
Any chance of th15 to release new official ships to be equipped with new official weapons released on this version?
And if there's a chance of th15 to read this post, i have a suggestion. Rather than releasing new .exe installers every version update, i have a better idea. I think it's time for this magnificent game to have a direct server update system, so that we don't need to download 14 megs or more every time another patch is released.
Just a thought.

We did that during the 'beta' phase and believe you me it was a clusterfuck trying to manage everything. Most of the 'complaints' we got with the execs not working was because we expected too much from people - we thought if we put all the links where they could be seen and noted as MUST HAVE THESE FILES TO RUN that it'd work. But no.DarchZero wrote:Taken from the 0.90 release topic. Well, that's just a suggestion.DarchZero wrote:Moolah! This IS real game!

A direct update system would probably be more effort for us than it's worth for you.

Maybe (either in a future update or BSF 2), the physics could get a little attention. The physics are passable, but there is one particularly annoying thing in regards to weapons: When your weapons fire, they don't take the speed of the ship into account. Just look at a zelus firing and you will know what I mean. The weapon should be traveling at the speed of the ship + the additional speed it was given when launched.

By a company? So it ill be a comercial quality game?Arcalane wrote: No shit it's being avoided in BSF2. That's being coded by an actual company, so of course it's going to be in a relatively decent language.

I know its not a suggestion, but I really wanted a FAQ for BSF2

Recoil from weapon fire, The recoil from a tac nuke should be able to stop, slow or reverse a ship by some degree. Example small ships would slow down more than a bigger ship if firing a large weapon when moving. There could also be a recoil setting in the edit tabs in Ship maker. Recoil would go really well with moving triggers.
Part of being sane, is being a little bit crazy.
That's intentional. Otherwise your firing arc would be affected by your movement. Hell, move fast enough and you wouldn't be able to fire in certain directions.FIREST0RM000 wrote:Maybe (either in a future update or BSF 2), the physics could get a little attention. Not only does it become near to impossible for the computer to calculate targeting data, it's going to confuse players so much they won't know when they can shoot a target.
Additionally, it doesn't make sense with non-newtonian physics.
