Just wondering what is this "Hidden Section" method for shielding. Any explanations please?

Create a section, aegis it, and shrink it to invisible thinness.

When was this fixed? I haven't downloaded the last few releases but I try to keep up on the release notes.

You don't need to aegis it. Just give it a high hp.

You don't need to, but sometimes I like doing so; letting it have a low hp value creates what amounts to an "aura" as opposed to a barrier; well, if I was playing Megaman anyway. You will need to do the targeting before the shrinking though.

Wait, if you shrink it, won't the hitbox follow suit? Or is there a bug of some kind that the game thinks that the section is still the original size (before you shrunk it)?

Sorry about the questions but I am really interested in how the mechanics work.

Shrink it so that it is only reduced in one direction.
For example, take section 25, and only shrink its width, leaving its length. Even if the hitbox scales along, you will still have a very thin, yet wide hitbox. Exactly what you want.

What I do is lengthen a section 22, change it's HP, and shrink it's heighth. The hitbox will still be there.

Yes, the hitbox will be there, but especially with faster weapons, there's a good chance it'll skip the sections.

How exactly do you make them "bounce away?"

I think it involves negative values in the edit tab...

I think it's actually values over 1, someone said that a value between 2 and 2.5 works best.

From what I've heard, negative values actually speeds the projectile up.
