What I have a problem with is the change stats button being degraded from that green box to an out-of-place standard menu.

Well you know how you hacked the pref room to take a screenshot, play with persistence and whatnot to go to another room to change the values? That's playing hell with the resource IDs and is one of the factors that destroys blueprint compatibility across versions. It's not the only reason, but I'm testing hundreds of things as I add them just to check for compatibility and changing things in the pref room was one of the things that sets it off. In any case we were running out of room to display things nicely that way with the new ai options and whatever else may be added.

I might agree if I was a programmer and knew what that meant :p

He means I screwed up his* saving system by doing funny things with the code to make the pop-up green box have a frozen background. Therfore the reason that's the reason he got rid of the green box, not "usability".

*He's using the built-in GM save system which saves a complete copy of the entire program's state in an unreadable format, not just the ships. This was done to stop people executing their own code within the game, I assume.

My peeve isn't with the menus, it's with how hard it is now to line sections up properly and also with the new shift key and mirroring bugs...

Oh and I still think the new texturing on the ships and info panel sucks...

New Version Release
Get it here: http://www.wyrdysm.com/games.php

I have words to say about this release: Custom Weapons. I have let loose the weapons of Mass Destruction. The Shipmaker will now allow you to enter some custom values for weapons, allowing you to augment their firing rate, clip size, reload time, range, turnspeed and accuracy! I don't need to say any more do I?

Here's a picture of a ship firing Gatling Weasels:

You can also assign specific HP values to sections now to give you more control of what kind of ship you want to create! On top of that, you can now assign the depth values of sections, this means that you can control which section appears on top!

For the game itself, I've fixed a bunch of bugs. The biggest change you'll notice in this version is the addition of some portraits for the messaging in the career. This really brings home the scanline style of the game.

Enjoy making out all the wanked out ships you ever dreamed about :)
