Hestia Alpha

I went with Slamscape's suggestion. Here's a picture of the new Hestia Alpha in action.
I think it says something about game's emphasis on active defences and Deflector modules that simple ablative armour is a novel concept! I went with Blasters since the Enyo already covers the role of a Pulse-boat well enough. The Boosters give the Hestia Alpha the ability to carry out "shock" assaults as it allows the ship to output an impressive amount of firepower for a short time.
EDIT: The one at the bottom is the unscathed one. The one at the top has lost the foremost prongs.

I just thought it looked nice, it makes the transition between hull and "wings" a little better. The Infamous RayCav wrote:havok: one of the best designs I've seen so far, but I would like to make a suggestion:
I'm not too fond of adding in extra sections when not necessary (the stub-wing thingies), and the forward wing thingies are kinda "naked." Also, I'm just not fond of mining beams, but that's my personal preference.
The mining beam is there for a lack of another "light beamer" really, the alternative was to add a blaster or gatblaster where the beam is now, in the same narrow firing arc.
But good suggestion on moving the gatpulses to the front.
Perhaps move the point defense to the tips of the wings?

I'm thinking two things about the new design...
1: Since it's starting to look quite a bit different from the Hesita prime now, maybe it should be given it's own name. I think Ares and Poseidon would be good candidates...
2: Perhaps the particle guns should be moved to different sections so that they don't chew up the booster charge...

I'm completely surprised you went with that design th15. I like it a lot but it's extremely strong in comparison to the wide wing ship with six blasters you didn't use.
I like RayCav's uparmor.
The thing about the armor is it doesn't even need to act as a shield because of how the HP system works. It only needs to be more forward, or more rearward, of the center then a current piece in order to add more HP to the original section. It's why I add those end caps to on the noses of my Hestia variants.
