I would like to make some astroid cores for BSF shipmaker I have all the pics I need since im going to use the pirate emplacmeant pic ones in the BSF folder but could somone tell me how to turn a normal part-sprite in to a core-sprite? im sure its right in front of me but I probably can't see it

I've actually been wondering that too. Slightly off-topic, is it also possible to change that little blue orb on the cores?

I think that the only way that you guys could change the core or the blue dot is by messing with the core game files (I'd need arcaline to confirm this).
To give an asteroid core just place an asteroid sprite over the core, perfectly centered, and make the core rotate slowly like any other station would.
To change the blue dot just get a copy of the "mirv beta" from the announcements section of the forum.

He means changing the core itself, not just placing a sprite over it.

Lately (since I have Arc's metagame version of BSF) I would parent a powerful critical object to the core cover sprite, thus destroying the core when the cover is destroyed.

Arc's version allows you to set sections as critical?

it adds a module that explodes when it destroys or the section it is parented to destroys. so yes

Anyway, I agree with previous posts, the critical object is the only way to make the asteroid into the effective core, because as it stands right now one cannot simply go into shipmaker and change a ship's core sprite outside of what is given.

darn :I i was really hoping to have an importable core sprite wouldve been real nice guess il just settle for altering a defence platform
