hey guys im new and i just found out that you can get these skins for your ships called sprites and they look really cool, would anyone mind showing my how i could get some because ive been looking around and i have no idea. Please help, Ender

The sprites aren't really skins, they're new sections in a different style from the originals.
If you want them, look around in this very subforum. Most sprite packs have their own threads with the download links in them.

Reading the FAQ is apparently a terribly difficult concept for some people to grasp.

no no i get how to download them but everytime i get them into a winrar file and try to add, move, or export them to my custom sprites folder it say something something error, or no files selected. Thats my problem

So the problem is that you don't know how to extract files from a .rar?

I think that's the sort of thing where I instead just kind of laugh at you and tell you to figure it out for yourself. Maybe someone kinder than me will step into this thread and educate you, though.

Being mildly kinder than Anna, I'll tell you that you should extract the files using a program like winrar or 7-zip.
After that, transfer the sprites to an appropriate folder in your Custom Sprites folder, import them into Shipmaker, and build ships with them.

i no i already have them in winrar but i don't know how to transfer them into the custome sprites folder. everything i do it says error

Control c + Control v.

Does winrar produce a folder containing the sprites?
