Error when adding sprites

Post by manfredtham »

ok guys i downloaded and installed the latest shipmaker and stuff and a lot of the custom sprites, sections ad weapons but evertime i drag 'em into the shipmaker screen, an error message appears.

so wat do i do to get the stuff into shipmaker? do i put into the custom sprites file in the shipmaker directory?

btw the error message:

Custom sprites\ forever\kusktom\sections\TSA_Ura091.png

Press ignore to replace with '?' sprite, or abort to terminate Shipmaker.

You extract custom sections in a folder directly in the custom sprites folder, the name of the folder is usually the name of the rar in which the sections are.

for example kaelis his mecha sections ( Kae_mechasw.rar) belong in the Kae_mechasw folder...
which would give something like: Battleships Forever\Custom sprites\Kae_mch-sw

see if putting your sections like that fixes your problem...
I don't know about you; But I generally don't store games in RAM.

To use weapon sprites you first put the type of weapon you want to use and then you edit the sprite using the edit thingy in the sidebar...

You can find all kaelis his sprite packs here: viewtopic.php?f=23&t=3035 you would have surely found it if you actually looked around in here...

Okay, so a few common sense things to make your (and ours) life easier:
1. If you got a question and decide to make a thread, then use a descriptive title.
2. Even if you don't use the search feature (and you should), at least look in the obvious places: ie. FAQs, documentation, most recent threads, etc.
3. Mind your grammar.
4. Edit you posts instead of multiposting
5. In general read the rules and follow them.

Dude seriously, read the documentation. It lays it all out fairly easily, and the powers that be went to a lot of time and effort to compile and post it. Right now you just seem like you want someone else to do all the work for you and noone will disagree that attitude won't earn you points here. If you bothered, you could have found all those answers and more in the three minutes between your posts, probably without having to use the search function :|
