when i download packs for the ship maker, since im guessing they r usually in zip form,

where do i put the zip files/folders,?

and where do i unzip their contents to?

All sprites used by the game must be within the 'Custom Sprites' folder.

This folder is already inside the folder where you installed the game (Default path is C:\Program Files\Battleships Forever).

For reference, take a good look at the default contents of the Custom Sprite folder to get an idea of how the sprite files are organized before you start adding unzipping the files into it.

Be weary, the game is very picky about the location of the sprites. However, we'll on that step after this first hurdle.
