Deep sea Isopod, lobster, and Cordyceps... just putting that out there...

Wouldn't separating veins from the rest of the flesh be a bit bad? I can see hearts and arteries being apart, but veins not attached to the muscle itself would take a lot of time to position right.

Depends. I'll probably have some viens on the stuff, but I want some that are attachable too,

I'm finding it increasingly difficult to make normal fleshy stuff interesting.

Muscle should look more like a tightly woven stretch of thread, like this.

Image

I don't know if muscle was what you were going for there, but putting it out there anyway.

something like that eh?

what kinda veins we gonna need? I have a 90degree turn, two straight lines (one is just straight the other is the same thing but its a little curvy getting from start to finish. I also have some ends, like this one.

I retract my previous statement about veins and muscles, those look great!
except the last muscle, that's kind of bland.

I'm just saying...

A brain will be made, do not worry.

if you guys find any interesting biomechanical or just plain biological ships or machine pictures post the here for me. I'm thinking of making modifying these parts later to make them more "bioMECHANICAL" rather then just biological.

Combine stuff was always a little too clean for my tastes. It almost looks like it's just robots painted to look organic.

Have you played the game? When the dog beats up and removes the top of the strider, lets just say 'stand back'.
I tried finding a screen cap, but nobody has taken any.

Oh I've played it, and I know they're synthetic. What I mean by clean is that they have skin.

Well lack of skin generally causes the flesh that was supposed to be hidden beneath it to sort of...rot.

Well, not if you do it right.

Just ask the skinned hobo I have in my closet.

I have to ask, are you going for horror or realism? (as realistic as living ships get...)

Little of both. I'll give you the tools needed to do either
