Those sections are way too big to be useful. And I recommend you to stay away from the faux-vector/inverted section art style from now on, hardly anyone wants to make ships in that style anymore.

There aren't enough words to express how wrong you are doing this.

Gay cute girl and fucking proud of it.
Do you think anyone could use what looks like a huge chunk out of a terrible ship, to create a good ship?
No.
Look at Kaelis' recent section packs and try to emulate that look and compactness.
Basically, a great section looks good on its own and has features that allows it to blend in with other sections to form a ship hull. Try to emulate raised and lowered areas on the section through shading, and stick to pixel-thick lines.
To be fair, something like the rear part of that might make an interesting section for reactors or something, though it needs some work. I'd discard that forward curved section entirely though.

What if I just cut it in half and made two sections out of this one. I'll modify them, that's for sure.
If admirals hate and trash your ships,
If you can't get it right;
Then off you go, but don't call quits;
Just go make custom sprites.
Two sections would be an idea, and making a few underlying sections would be good as well. As these parts are supposed to have the glow maybe having an underlay section, slightly larger in all directions without resizing the things would be good.
