The blaster/driver turret sprite is not meant to be the base plate. You should have three guns and three sections in a turret;

1. The pivot plate/turret mount. To this, you attach the driver and the base plate. This can be whatever section you like - I prefer to use something that looks like an actual turret mount point or what have you.

2. The base plate. To this, you attach the cover and the main guns.

3. The cover. This should be higher than the base plate, so when the guns are depthed, they appear properly.

The two guns should be linked to the driving gun, which should be invisible. It should not have a custom sprite.

You cannot have the driver gun parented to the baseplate or shit gets weird.

You will have to forgive me for that one, I don't use turrets often.

To parent any object to a section have that section selected when you create the new object OR with the new version, select the object and right click the section you want as it's parent, and select set parent.

Dude. Never noticed your new stuff for some reason. They are pretty awesome. Really nice work.
You shouldn't title your thread Crap Repository. Maybe you should change it to Epic Repository

It's not a repository of crap, it's a repository of miscellaneous crap. Big difference.

New download, ish

Nothing major though. Just a couple of new turret covers and a bunch of barrel-only versions of HM's Realistic Weapons, for use as follows;

Tiniest Update Ever!

I disliked the fact that HorseMonster's Vulcan does not make a very good turret. But it is otherwise a very nice gun.

So I made it into a turret myself! I spliced it together with an adjustment I made to his Bigrailgun, and this was the result;

Image

One Vulcan Turret. Right click -> Save As, and stick it in /HorseMonster_DetailedWeapons/ along with all of his other toys.

Here's the adjusted version of the Bigrailgun;

yay! the vulcan really did need an actual stand-alone turret made out of it and even though this is a splice job it looks like it was made especially which is good

btw, could you also put the actual sprite names of the edited weapons next to them to avoid confusion, as the first time i loaded this page the names didn't save with the image files and just came up as "unnamed", although that may be just due to my rubbish internet connection

A tiny missile launcher! You can use it as a solo turret, stick one on top of a bigger turret, hook several of them together on a frame of some kind for a bigger multi-launcher turret, or as a fixed launcher.

It's hard to see, but there are seven 'tubes'.

Image

Stick it in /Custom sprites/Arc_weapons/

Very loosely inspired by the pods on the AHV-8 Sandstorm.

Ed: Doublewidth launcher!

13 tubes.

Permission to modify these, possibly make them with more or bigger tubes?

Normally I wouldn't care but they'll probably look like shit if you try to scale them up at all. Best to make your own launchers from scratch.

I didn't want to scale them up, just to enlarge the tubes and/or make them wider so they could have more tubes.

But in order to do so, you would need to increase the size of the launcher unit accordingly. The low detail level means they'll probably look kind of crap when you do that.
