The new sprites give me a Orion 2 vibe, short version: I like them.... a lot.

Care to let us know about the tentative number of sprites expected upon release?

Realism, seriously? It's a space ship game. Realism was thrown out the window a long time ago.

I can't say for sure exactly how many sprites will there be; probably won't know until its done. But definitely at least 256. The aim is to have as many and as varied as possible, since i want this pack to be versatile and 'universal'.

Now, id like to know who would be willing to build ships out of these. So far it looks like few people have expressed interest, but i need to know these sections will be actually used before i proceed.

Also, i need a name for this pack/style. Any ideas?

Kaelis, I think we can safely assume people will build things out of anything you make. The style is interesting, probably more difficult to build in than SWA-style, but with potentially great results if you do it right.
I'd definitely use them, at least to try them out but most likely I'd use them quite a bit.

Like Chiiro said, we'd use anything you make. I like alot of what I'm seeing. Theres a few that look awesome but are pretty shaded so could only be used as top pieces for instance. Nothing wrong with that, but what I would really like is more sections that fit together well with those. Hope that makes sense and that you keep pulling these great ideas from wherever you get them.

Kaelis, if you put these out, I promise to go on a building binge. I can't assure quality, but I guarantee they'll get used.

Damm, all these little spoilers are making me so excited to see the finished product, keep up the good work Kaelis.
From what I can see in the spoiler pic and the video, you've made a whole lot of different sections, which still look like they could be used allmost anywhere, don't know how to describe it otherwise.
SWS: Tiny nitpick on the design of grey area though, when folded, the front two sides overlap, don't know if this intentional or not, just something I noticed which looked off.

With parts that cool looking you can afford to be big headed about them if you want. =P

And I also would be using these, I usually get back into making ships every time you or HM makes more sprites.

Thats kind of you to say, but if it was really true, i wouldnt be asking. Look at the robopack - im very happy with them, and some people even said theyre my best pack so far, yet theyre rarely used. I want to be sure this won't happen again, especially since the new sections require much more work.
