I can tell you really sincerely feel remorse over shamelessly copying the work of someone else and claiming it as your own.

Whatever, good enough for me. Don't do it again.

In his defense, I must say that Majic did something similar as well, although it was obviously an inspiration not a rip-off. The general design is also generic, but I can see how they all "coincidently" line up.

Maybe I should make something glorious soon...

That would be really nice. You're among my favourite shipbuilders.

I made a ship, it's not as glorius as what you guys make but atleast i did try better than some of my lazy and rushed creations.
C&C appreciated.

Seriously?

Considering you participated in both making the ship and the story of Iron Mountain, I'll call it shamelessly recycling an older backstory as opposed to ripping it off shamelessy.

As for the ship itself, the colours just look bad and the grey parts stand out. The glows also blend in somewhat.

Also, you placed some sections partially over glows, and that looks a bit weird.

The glows just kind of seem like they are this big teal dot on the ship. Overlay another section (or doodad or whatever) with an alpha of 0.3 or so and make it quite large to simulate light being cast onto other parts of the ship.

The glows remind me of daylight breaking through something into a dark room, might be something I encounter every morning...

Anyway, Doogie is right about those glows.

I have no idea what you have been up to in your past, but I'll just have to believe what the other people said about that :|
Quite frankly I wonder why I ever began making ships for this. You see, my work never becomes quite as good as I feel it deserves to.

The thrusters look like they are one big thruster, but instead you made 3 glows implying that there are three.
It looked strange that way.

@Luke, Well it was my idea to begin with, although you did add the fleet composition.

The glows look good IMO. The thruster... It's better but It somehow glares at me somewhat. It's probably something personal, don't change it :P

The glows are better...kind of. To be honest, I'd say that there's too much of them. And as of right now the entire thing looks like a mass of green and doesn't look better until I force myself to focus in. Also, that middle core-glow thing looks off.

Methinks for his next ship, CryoSleep should temporarily abstain from glowballs and try to use no less than three shades of each hull color. The central problem with his ships is that there's not a good lot of shading (or depthing, or value variation, whatever you want to call it), so they come off as rather two-dimensional (inb4 NO SHIT hurr durr).

SM has a nine-color swatch, so you should try to make use of it. Sure, using all nine for shading might be a bit excessive, and you're certainly overdoing it if you find yourself needing more than that, but it'll definitely turn out better than not using shades at all.

Get to it, man.

^ Whatever he said is a good idea.

@ Doogie: the Fire Coral's core doesn't fit with the rest anyway, does it? It just looks like someone decided to throw an octagon onto the center because it looked cool....

I'll consider that for my next ship because i've already planned on what it should look like (after quite a time of rejuvenating from stress and manning up for Prom Night)
