That ship reminds me of MechQuest. Anyone know that game?

...I'm not really seeing much resemblance to Mechquest's designs in there.

Re: Destiny's workshop
So, I've decided to return. And I'm returning with this piece of crap. I don't even know what to call it, it was just an experiment.
That's how it looks without the Aegises.
And that's how it looks with the Aegises.
Also, it's not that cheaty as it looks, cause there's a prop I've placed in the very behind that really bumps out, and that's where all the Aegises are placed at. So, it could be a Mini-boss, if edited correctly.

Eh, the destructive ability of a ship doesn't really...matter. Ever. At all.
It's all about aesthetics. I can make a single ship with a single gun that can annihilate any design, but there's no fun in that. So if you are going to make a death platform, make a pretty one.

Re: Destiny's workshop
^Seconded. It does look okay without Aegis spam burning my eyes, try to make something out of it without those shields or at least reduce the amount of shields.
Aegis is nice, in small amounts.

Quite frankly I wonder why I ever began making ships for this. You see, my work never becomes quite as good as I feel it deserves to.
Re: Destiny's workshop
I just thought up of an idea of how to use those aegis deflector, finally found an idea of a new ship and I'll be working on it right away.

Sorry, but was that related to this thread? xD
(And then, suddenly) Oh wait, now I see.

Re: Destiny's workshop
A new ship, this time unfinished. I've been trying to do something new with it, but I dunno how it looks. I personally like the big honkin' engine bit on the back.
I'm not gonna let this game wither and die...
Re: Destiny's workshop
*Cough* Oversaturation *Cough*
The general shape is nice but not very interesting, although the tail thing seems pretty nice. The sectionwork is okay, but the front could use a bit of work both with sectionwork and depthing.

Reworked it a tiny bit, and added a Cannon aka Nose to the ship. And I've decided to just let the saturation be for a while, cause with me it's either slightly-tinted gray, or like this. Already see, I should make the cannon brighter so it would slightly jump out.

Re: Destiny's workshop
Cannon? Where?
Really, it's okay in some case to hide weaponry through colouring but I can hardly make out the cannon in all this red. And the red is still oversaturated. Make it slightly 'greyer'.

Re: Destiny's workshop
Made the cannon darker instead, fiddled with the depth, and added some doodads. The cannon actually slides out, as I've intended for it to look out of place. After all, it's a Tengu's nose.
And again, I'll work with the saturation after I finish the overall shape, because it looks like I have a different perception of saturation from everybody else on this forum. Because I either overdo it, or fail to bring it out of gray at all.

Re: Destiny's workshop
Needs more variance in the shades of red for depth (don't go any lighter but make the under sections darker).

Nice glowy stuff (I know that sounded a bit stupid)
Looks better, do what Necron said and it will turn out pretty :3

Re: Destiny's workshop
Did as you told me, and also decided to show you how it looks with it's nose out.
