Destiny's workshop

Let's face it, the main attraction of BSF is building your own ships. Share them! If you need help, check the Shipmaker Info & Help forum a little ways down.

The design seems to be fairly interesting.
I would recommend cleaning up the area near the "head" of the ship. The grey sections seem a bit messy to me.
The transition between the midbody and the "head" seems to be a bit awkward.
On your second model, you seem to be layering an asymmetrical shiny piece directly on another sprite. I don't think it's really working out.

Nose out? That's a nice suprise.

The ship now looks like a ship, i.e. it has detail to some extent, it has doodads, it has a good shape etc.
I agree the transition isn't entirely smooth but you can work on that. As for the grey bit: I like it. It's personal taste, but it looks fine if you ask me.
Quite frankly I wonder why I ever began making ships for this. You see, my work never becomes quite as good as I feel it deserves to.
