iv'e seen a bunch of ships from #### faction (technaly not a wftu faction) that get away with 50-200 dmg per main gun/ missile battery. despite seemingly op figures coupled with multiple of these seemingly op weapons, these ships (depending on their specific design and play style) had numerous ways to compensate for their high alpha damage. sometimes it was a low rate of fire, others had low accuracy. for one type of "homing" missile, it had very very little tracking capability, launcher could only rotate a few degrees, and had a 180 degree firing ark. this combined with the angle the launcher (gun turrets were more flexible with wider firing arks, but still facing same general direction) made it so you had to approach you're enemy at an angle giving this ship a unique play style while simultaneously (contributing to) balancing out it's very high alpha damage and burst fire.Doogie12 wrote:Balance is subjective.
