I found some nice works in progresses I had made before, to which I added a bit, polished, and doodaded up. As for weapons, I kinda want to do some nice trigger magic, especially on the first one, but I lack the patience for it at this particular time.
Here are the sb4 files if someone else wants to take a jab at it.
F+M sb4 zips.zip
Both sb4 files.

And what sort of "trigger magic" do you want done on the first one?

It's a giant space-based gun. Use your imagination.

I'll try to give it a firin' ma lazer animation. May I post the refinement in this thread in a day or two?

By all means, yes. Feel free to remove those shields if you wish and any other section/parenting edits to make it easier.

With every ship Doogie sends down the assembly line, I feel like a total noob. xP

Look at the date I joined. Now, realize that I wasn't ever considered "good" until only a few months before WFTU. You are way ahead of where I was.

Although I didn't have shiny sprites then either....

Ah, two more delicious morsels to feast our eyes upon!

I prefer the beige of the first ship the the other, I think it's the strong colours. Excellent as always doogie!

Off topic: Has anyone seen the film "Vanilla sky"? Cuz I am currently freaked out about it. (help!)

The center engine glow of the first ship looks like it's a little too big.
And... Yeah.
I guess you know you've done a pretty good job when the only thing being criticized is the engine glow. (Well, that and I personally think it would look better without the shields.)
Another personal opinion, but the rear ends of the wings of the second ship look a bit too fragile.

While I'm flattered that you would have ever considered the thunder to have been in my possession at all, I have devised a countermeasure for your theft, so look forward to that. (Though it might take awhile since my school's wifi is being all wonky.)

@Necrontyr, wow it really does look beige. When you remove the gold doodads and occasional section it is quite distinguishable as green.
@Netharis, When you say "too big," do you mean it sticks out too far or is too wide? If the latter, note that there are actually three engines in that area. When I colored it the thing looked like starfish-brick with the most elegant coloring ever, so I added the shields to give it a curved nature. Although those shields by the neck don't make me terribly happy.
As for the other one, those spindly bits have nothing on them. I took heavy inspiration from Reaver ships when I was making the hull.

Let's see if I can pump another 5 or 30 ships out.

The ship has been animated. I gave a decent try. It fires a laser and has a cluster of missiles on each "wing". Not much, but it works fairly well.

Let me know if anyone encounters any problems as this is the first time working with a ship other than my own.

It only has thirteen moving sections. Let me know if you want any more ships animated. The new ship is nice. I can't see anything wrong with it. The "arms" could each house a weapon.

Lookin at your ships make me wish that I were more creative with my ships' shapes.
Something for me to work on, I guess.

Oh, before I forget. I did mean that the engine flares looked a tad too wide. Even in the latest ships, they appear to be spilling out from the sides of the thruster sprites of only by a little bit.
