I think it lacks some of the character of the first one, but you did a great job of transferring the concept to shiny.

It has a very smooth design. My only critique would be that the core area where it connects to the front of the ship looks a little fragile.

Let me guess. You read the glowballs tutorial?
If you alter their starting index (0 to 1) as a decimal, it states how much into it's animation that it starts off at.
Ex: 0.5 will start halfway through an animated doodad's animation cycle. Useful for chasing lights and other things of that nature.

Thanks for the advice, but I already knew that. If I had a way to convert the frames into a single gif, I would have shown off all the moving lights on the thing.

Shipmaker includes a feature for taking multiple screenshots over a period of time. You can then combine them in GIMP to create animated gifs.

This one seems more robust than you first. The back looks well armoured and strong, although I don't like the front. The sections of those 'prongs' look... ...awkward.
