On a critique note, you should use more variations of colors to create depth.

That red is REALLY saturated. Also, while I understand that they are part of the same fleet or something, they look really similar to each other with no real increase in size.

No shit they look similar with no real increase in size. Fleets share basic design elements and why do the similar sizes matter?

Its not the size I'm complaining about, I'm saying they both look like the same ship with a slightly varying outline. If one had a similar core region but was drastically bigger than the other, there would be no issue. As of right now, it looks like you recycled a ship.

A destroyer from the same fleet as a battleship would share basic characteristics, but be much smaller. These ships appear to be similarly classed to each other. I'm guessing destroyers.

I'm using the same "core" region as the base. I'll probably modify the core for larger class ships.

The colouring is much better on the new one, the turquoise highlights look great. But there still seems to be a lack of colour variation (lots different shades of the same colour).

Ships number 3 and 4 are improvement. Pretty nice, average stuff round here. And Doogie. I happen to copy parts of my ships when making new one. Only that it seems to be less obvious.

White star for example has stormbringer hull almost entirely - just lenghtened.
Teus has same hull as Angel - only up armoured, and widely covered.

If you do this, just make sure it does not appear so obvious - unless the ships share some design similarities / are variants of one another / upgraded models / lalala.

This colour scheme is much better than the red ones. if your going to use these as a WFTU fleet, use the blue ones.
