Well, theres the central factions like the SAR, MC, Rata, and Novians, then theres the minor ones like the SW and Judin, then theres the ones that shouldn't exist (and don't in my mind). The alliances is basically just taking sides with the MC -SAR conflict.

The topics are starting to get horribly mixed, but I would like to encourage some encounters and battles - you know, get our own little wars running and some story going before we pull in the ultimate bad guys and then see how our factions can co-operate with all the hatred and bad blood and stuff.

Also, since propably not everyone likes darkness and might not want to interact with it, should we also form some white list of factions that want to join the darkness event when it comes, assuming it comes? can't really force it on anyone. This could simply be explained by Darkness maybe prioritising, seeing some factions as greater threat than others or have no explanation at all - as it is pretty difficult to get into logic those machines have...

Edit: Further suggesting that those faction owners wich then join the event would also be those who collectively control it, improve and develope it.

You can count the Novian empire in. It will make things interesting when Nove and the Ratai are forced to cooperate.

If you are referring to current battle going on, you have to remember Nove and Ratai are not even concidering truce or alliance at this point. They (the faction, the characters) cannot automatically know what we (the players, forum members) know.
