Well heres My attempt at a story board for my own little universe. ENC. files will be posted at the bottom of each Post.

Encounter 1: the station.

Caracas Station Control tower: Roger Captain, docking lanes clear, we are sending you an escort to the station.

UNGW Bravo Squadron leader: UNGW United We Stand, you are clear for Burn in. We'll lead ya to the lane captain.
Captain Rafferty: Thanks bravo, Lead the way.

Dock Team: Docking mechanisms engaged, equalizing pressure. Docking complete, glad to have you aboard Captain.
AI: Shore party away. Second in command Williams has the deck.

Admiral Powell: Glad to have you aboard the station Captain. Your frigate will be undergoing the refit as we Speak, but I need you to come with me. I'll brief you on the situation as we go.
Captain Rafferty: Good to see you Admiral, I'm hearing rumors about first contact sir. Are they friendly?
Admiral Powell: We wouldn't need men like you if they were. anyway, we have reports of subspace signatures heading our way from the Auralian sector and fast. ETA 2300 hours.
Captain Rafferty: How can they be so fast, It would take days for us to make that jump!
Admiral Powell: We know, that's what has GNI in such a fuss. they're moving too fast, and from the Auralian reports, it sounds like they're hitting us hard. Rest up, we've got quite a fight ahead. Once the refits are complete, we will re-deploy you to the Auralian Gate to Make sure they can't Jump their whole fleet. We need you captain, good luck.

2300 hours.
AI: Subspace rupture detected. Nearest UNGW battle group is exactly 23 minutes away.
Admiral Powell: You heard Her, all hands man your Stations. Captain, looks like we need you here. Time to go to work...

Commander O'Donnel:This is Commander John O'Donnel Of the UNGW Into the Fire requesting the nearest possible Battle group to help defend the Auralian Gate! Is anyone out there? We have come under attack by a cruiser sized vessel with massive firepower. Please! Someone respond!
Station AI: The Alien cruiser is likely a scout, I do not think they were expecting to find anything here. The enemy vessel has likely called for reinforcements by now.

Into the Fire AI: Enemy hull breached, reactors flaring. recommend immediate precision bombardment of frontal sections.
Commander O'Donnel: Fire Everything we've got god damn it! We've got to hold on until reinforcments get here! If the gate falls, We lose the whole sector and this war will be lost before its even started.

Lieutenant Olenkov: Enemy hit, main weapon systems disabled! We got 'em!!
Commander O'Donnel: That wasn't the end of this, there will be more. And if that battle group doesn't show up soon, they'll be saving a bunch of corpses.

Captain Vincent: Those weren't rebels sir. They were harder to kill, used unconventional weapons, and weren't broadcasting on any known frequencies. What the hell were they?
Admiral Powell: I won't lie Captain, we don't know much. They're far more advanced than anything we've seen before, and they don't seem to be communicating demands to us or any other motives. Right now, the only lead we have on them is a Large energy signature based out of the Hades gamma cluster. We're sending Fifth fleet to investigate the origin, and you will be joining us. I will brief you on the way. Powell out.

Oh, eye candy...

Haven't seen much form this story yet so I can't judge but the ships seem quite good, I'ma likin' that space station too. I have a few nitpicky problems however, I find that the purple and blue on the spacestation contrast, try to keep with one colour for the details. The tiny ships are also too tiny to pick out any details. The ships go well together as a fleet however, they loom like they were made by the same company, I also don't see many errors in flow or arming either.

I think the induction of "LOL" "OMG" and "<3" into the Oxford English Dictionary is a sign of the End Times. Only, instead of a rider on a pale horse, it'll be a gibberish-spewing spastic in a monster truck named "The Dildozer".

So I finally got off my ass and got BSF (repack) so I could play your encounters and I'm getting all kinds of sprite errors (haven't even tried the second and third ones yet). Try it yourself with a fresh download and you'll see what I mean. You're gonna want to do a sprite dump for all the ships so it works properly because right now it's a real pain.

Umm. so just upload a pack of all the sprites that I used in the place where they should be? not sure what you mean...

Yeah, either upload your custom sprites folder (easiest) or open each of the ships in SM and use the exports sprites tool. The latter puts all the ship's sprites into a folder (with proper subfolders) and you can combine exports for all the ships so you can upload only what you used for the ships. It doesn't really matter to me at least which way you do it, pick your favourite of the two.

Sweet, thanks a lot man. I'll try the encounters out when I'm able, I've come down with a cold and a nasty headache so I don't really want to stare at a screen for very long.

Still got a few sprite problems with SS_windows and SS_windows4 right in the custom sprites folder, HorseMonster_DetailedWeapons\HM_wepEnergyTurret06a.png, HorseMonster_Realistic\HM_X_Sensors.png and HorseMonster_DetailedWeapons\HM_wepOneTubeLauncher01.png, DST BLU/Dst-ori87L, JWA_modified\spr_jwa_Kae_sml-sw06a.png and sw05a.png and a variety of shiny that came after the repack (that's not a big problem though).
Anyway, on to the missions:

1) A couple general things first. You should stagger your spawns to cut down on freezing, put a delay of 5 or so between each ship in a group and the game won't stick as badly . Second, the fighters (and probably other ships) can prove impossible to destroy under the right circumstances, i.e. when they're left with just their core and there are no allied fighters or ships with spammy enough weapons left alive. You could try putting a critical module on the section above it to make sure they're never left with just their core.
Aside from that the mission is pretty fun, the entrance of the larger enemies is great then the colossus showing up to tear through everything with ease is awesome. I love its machineguns cutting through the dreadnaught and other ships like butter.

2) You should probably make the portal bit of the gate rotate or something so it looks less static, it's kind of offputing in game. Aegising the gate makes it a bit unfair since it's essentially invincible and a perfect place to camp. Also, you might want to make it clearer that the science station can repair ships, I didn't notice that til halfway through this mission. All in all the mission is good but a lot like the last just the super carrier is less impressive, partly because it lacks machine gun swarms and doesn't make up for it with demeter swarms but mainly because it keeps running away - you should lower its ai range so it stays and fights. Still fun though, don't get me wrong.

3) The beginning of it was epic, big fleets, awesome beam cannons, a lot of fun to look at. Then the player gets his ships and they're honestly kind of useless, you feel pretty impotent because you basically have to wait til the super carrier does everything - I didn't even manage to take out two beam cannons (I guess splitting my fleet was a bad idea). Then wave 2 of enemies show up but it's pretty likely you don't have a fleet left so you just wait til the super carrier takes care of everything. Unfortunately this can take quite a while because the super carrier can be declawed pretty easily and its ai keeps backing away. All in all while the start was great I felt a bit useless in this one.

So, in general they were all still a lot of fun, concerns aside. That said, the whole saved by the allied super ship (or in the case of the last mission, spearheaded by it) thing is great but it gets old if it's done too much. Either let the player control the super ship for once or do something else. I'd also suggest giving the player a bit more importance at some point because right now you're essentially unnecessary backup and you know you'd win whether or not you were there (mission 1 is a bit of an exception).
Also, you've got a parenting problem in the T'sari dreadnaught, the rear wings are parented to the core so when the circle above it is destroyed you're left with floating sections. I'd suggest investing in critical modules or at least changing the parenting there.

Anyway, all my criticism aside these were a lot of fun, I look forward to more of them; so much so that I'll even keep BSF installed :D

THAT, was quite a wall of text. thank you though and I'm glad you liked them. I had that problem with fighters as well, and before I uploaded I remember redoing them to have a critical object so they would be kill able :? . However, I may not have redone the mission with the new fighters, so I will get right on that.
As far as the other stuff, the super carrier you were referring to is not actually a carrier at all, but more of an anti capital battleship, which is one reason why it lacks drone swarms, however, I will change it up a bit by decreasing the AI range and upping its firepower a bit.
The lack of major firepower for the player is due to the progressing story line and the fact that you are only in charge of small battle groups at the moment, though your low priority compared to higher ranking admirals is hard to convey without a text function in the encounter maker :roll: . That said, the next mission will lack allied super capitals and put you in charge of a Thor class battle cruiser or a Posiedon assault carrier as well as some destroyers, making you a more integral part of the mission.

Anyways, I am extremely happy someone finally gave me some feedback as I was unsure how these stood up to other encounters from the past. I will get right on fixing the old encounters and making some new ones for you guys to enjoy.
