What is Heaven's Grace

Heaven's Grace is a splinter group of defectors from a much larger group, the Heretic.

400 Years ago.

Under orders to "cleanse" a planet not technologically advanced enough for space travel and convert it into a military mining planet on the outskirts, the commanding officer of the division undergoing the mission had a change of heart. He always felt that there was always a better way, but continued to complete his missions as instructed. This time, things were different. At his current rank he had many ships under his command for this mission, which included a colony ship and a freighter which could deploy into a mobile shipyard. Everything he needed to establish a military outpost. Before the mission began, he ordered his crew to relocate their families onto the colony ship. He made the decision to abandon his charge and take up a position to defend those too weak to protect themselves. He had placed his crew's happiness above his own by having them bring their loved ones instead of a payload of explosives on the other ships in his fleet, they followed him. Instead of destroying millions of precious lives, they colonized and terraformed the moon of that planet to serve as a vanguard. Heaven's Grace was born.

On that moon, sensors were given top priority to watch and listen for any Heretic retaliation for their defection.

150 Years ago.
They no longer hear anything from the Heretic. Probes reveal no signs of life from their once cherished homeworld. It lies entirely in ruin. UNtil that moment, the people had always wondered what had been taking their former comrades so long to track them down.

They currently occupy a small region of space located between the Miora Colonies and Nirvana.

Their size, while still small in comparison to other races, has grown to 12 planets and over 4000 ships. A large growth from the original 250 ships in the original party. They enjoy welcomed trade with their interstellar neighbors. Anyone is allowed with their space so long as peace is not disturbed within it. While they do not usually participate in the affairs of other factions, if the cause is just, they will prove a fierce ally in battle.

Heaven's Grace Ships

Their mining operations yield many useful metals for the construction of spacefaring vehicles. Their most common resource, Titanium and Aluminum, prove to be the most common metal with which they construct their ships. The lightweight alloys produce ships of much lower overall mass than other factions, but at the cost of combat durability. The ships are equipped with advanced artificial intelligence specifically designed to operate ship subsystems, thus ships require less manpower to operate individually.


Heaven's Grace Crews

Extensive training to become a fighter pilot is required before entering combat. While the old Heretic faction allowed humans of 16 years of age to train for two years before taking flight, Heaven's Grace pilots must be trained for every encounter imaginable, a training program taking 5 years. Starting at the age of 18 to ensure that pilots are mature enough to protect the lives of others is strictly enforced. Due to the advanced training, Heaven's Grace pilots are usually much more skilled than other pilots of equal rank.

The front of the fleet. The angel is the second most common ship in the fleet (other than the HG 4 Power). Utilizes short range weapons and slightly more armor in comparison to similarly sized ships in the fleet.

The workhorse of any Heaven's Grace fighter fleet. Although slow and bulky due to the number of fighters that it carries, it makes up for this with its twin launchpads from which spring forth HG 4 Power fighters en masse.
Note: To get the fighters to load properly, place the ship files into a folder named "HG Ships" located within your "custom ships" folder.

The capital ship of the fleet. Only seven were able to be produced in time to combat the darkness threat. Well armored when compared to its brethren and equipped with the most powerful weapons available in the Heaven's Grace military, the Seraph is a force to be reckoned with even alone.

(Meanings: Shining One, Shining Star, Lightbringer, Daystar) The original ship that started Heaven's Grace refitted and kept online for all this time. The name is chosen to reflect that the faction did betray a much larger master.
It is also the name of the first fallen angel.
The HG X Lucifer lacks the more "Advanced" Heaven's Grace weapons systems due to its overall age, so it cannot utilize the "Eternal" or "Judgement".

Story Data
Maximum safe distance between two gates: 2 Light Years
Recharge time: 5 Minutes
Maximum safe ship size allowed: 65 and under. Gateway can support up to a size of 90 (not recommended with this model).
Maximum ships per opened gate: 3 (within the size limit, 1 if larger)

Rules for War of the Universe.
Option 1:If you want to call in reinforcements with the jump gate, you can draw from your reinforcements pool that would be available on your next turn (up to an amount that can pass through the gate). It will be decreased when that turn comes up, but you can use it to call in the from the turn ahead again.

Option 2: If you hold some of your reinforcements back, then next turn where they would roll over (if permitted), they are doubled (up to an amount that can pass through the gate).

Both of these options can be used, but only one at a time per turn. Discuss using a jump gate with the other player first.


HG Guard Ships

The main design was acquired in a trade from the PPL (owned by Miram). It has been constructed from the titanium-aluminum alloys that most HG ships are made from. The engines were refitted with HG models, the weapons stripped (since the weapons were not part of the trade) and refitted with HG weapons. This version has less armor and firepower, but more speed and maneuverability (as most HG ships have). The remaining energy from the weapon systems were tapped into to power over two dozen lights for that police appearance. With the crew assisting AI installed, alot of the crew quarters rooms have been converted into civilian rooms for the poor, containment for criminals, and storage for transporting small supplies.

Updated pictures to versions without zooming in.

Ships blue palette brightened two steps. Maximum is now (0, 45, 225), steps are now (0, 5, 25) increments darkening.

Note: Place the ship and sb4 files within a folder named "HG Ships" located within your custom ships folder. This is to ensure the HG 7 Throne's ship deployers will work properly.

All custom sprite folders are now in one folder instead of being divided up between ship folders.

The blue is a bit too dark.
Also, why would any group call themselves heretics, especially when they're the original group and not the splinter?

Im not a Fan of how you used the Flat sections on the Angel. Why not try to take a look at Deltaflyer's ships and might give you some ideas to Change a Paper thin ship to a Work of Art (Not his Older ships).

I used to have a roleplaying group. The antagonists that i created for that group were a nation called the Heretech, pronounced heretic. They were a technologically advanced group, but they were lawful evil. I based them on WW2 germany in behavior. For a villanous nation, me and my players felt the name was a good choice.

I will recreate the Angel after I finish the HG 6.

Are you trying to build a fleet with oversized ships? Look at our other ships we don't have frigates in destroyer size so please rebalance and change the classification of your ships because i don't want to see oversized frigates fighting normal frigates. Take a tour of our Factions and you will see the right sizes of our ships. I'll let you off this time.
I'm only being rude to right things so no need to get mad at me.

All of your ships are too big for what they are ( look at R0ni's Ratai interceptor size compared to the frigate size). And your ships are seriously under-crewed, a frigate would have at least 100 souls onboard but I suppose that upto how your ships work.

We gotta remember that ship classes are each of our own decision. Some factions can define ships differently than others. My fighters are obvious of course - around ten "meters" is size, bomber few meters more, But for example my frigates are very small, more like gunboats (compare to calvin's frigate that is least twice the size).

The fighters here seem quite big, but then again, it is their own decision to class em as they like.

These ships could use some detail maybe and number of crew does sound small. But maybe HG ships are largely automated?

Have you tested your ships against those of others, Zalausai?

Calvin - True for new members.
Doogie - I guess so because Covenants have oversized Corvettes and freespace have undersized Cruiser.
I tried to make Alterations but i guess i'm still not in STARSTRUCKS's level to do so but i still tried and this ended up

It looks nice.
The color scheme is maintained and the engine color is also maintained.
It just doesn't "look" like the rest of the ships when placed in a group.
It possesses qualities that other ships in the fleet do not, mainly the glowing orb in the center.
It looks okay with the HG 4 Power, but it stands out when paired with HG 2 or 3.
I think it's the wings, how they appear uncovered and not "smooth" like the other ships.

I cannot use it, because of the glow and the wings having the appearance of an unsmooth surface. However if
Darken the metal colors a bit and change the blues to red, it will make a great addition to the Darkness.

If I ever decide to create ships for the heretic, (Nine circles of hell names), they will look pretty much like this, just red instead of blue.

Well that ship is specifically for you because it does not stand out as one of the Darkness due to the section style i used to it.
