Building Ships, need C&C

Let's face it, the main attraction of BSF is building your own ships. Share them! If you need help, check the Shipmaker Info & Help forum a little ways down.

Building Ships, need C&C

Post by Chiiro »

Right. Posted these on IRC, need to know if there's anything particularly wrong with it.

So, people. Comments? Good, or bad?

This is how it started. Well no, it started with just a green core. But this what when I decided I was "done" with this ship and nailed the style out!

And here's a penisbrick variant just because I thought it looked better that way.

Aaaaaand a smaller escort ship.

Sitting around tossing shit together atm, might update in a couple of hours who knows. \o/

Is there any way to make the second one transform into the first one?

Gorgeous style. The P-brick basically sums up all the good bits I like on the first one, and the turrets on the first one are lovely. Escort looks nice and aggressive. Only criticism is the piece cutting the front end of the larger ships in half, it matches up with the piece in front of it perfectly, but behind it the straight line doesn't look good.

These ships are great. The color fits the designs well.
One ridiculously minor nitpick I have is that the team stripes aren't all perfectly aligned with the sections =\.

However, I don't like the space between the engines in ship #1 and #2, especially since the two engines look, well connected. I suggest you either fill that space with something or move those two engines slightly farther apart.
Spoiler!

Congrats! Youve been promoted to head designer for a car company! Now for your first design are you going to cover the car in tires? In axles? In bumpers? NO! Your going design something that uses the right parts for the right places.

Alright, after a minor(lol) hiatus I am back to shipbuilding.

I've taken the things commented on into consideration for further shipbuilding and I get the feeling I've improved a bit.

Regardless, here's my latest endeavour.

That is one sexy beast of a ship, I honestly see no where you can improve that one

Well personally I thought this was sort of an improvement.

Definitely an improvement, it also makes not feel like a plagiarist since I'm working on a manta shaped ship....

The shading on the nose seems a little confusing, but that's just how the parts are I guess.
