EDIT: Changed the Dreadnought rear laser to a blaster, since the beam sprite was enlarged for some reason and i couldn't figure out how to get it to the proper size.

New ship, and i changed the rear gun on the Dreadnought since the laser sprite was enlarged for some reason. I really should test weapons more often...

EDIT: Moved railguns back, make them darker, put a couple of extra sections and alpha'd the green sections over them to make them dark.

Minor nitpicks... the rail guns look out of place, maybe you can put them over the front or rear of the ship, and darken them. Those four green sections located on the side with the turrets? You can darken them as well, so it gives the ship more depth.

Yeah, now that i think about it the railguns could probably do with a darker sprite...

As for the green sections, i coulda sworn i set them as Default2 color. Dunno if it would matter if i did, since it doesn't seem to be a whole lot darker than Default1... might just be my monitor though. Eh, i'm rambling here, i'll see what i can do .

I'd say the colours are a bit too highly saturated. A lower saturation works better with these sorts of sections. Not too much lower, mind you, just enough to make it less garish and more kinda faded and washed-out looking. It typically looks better. Otherwise, that ship is pretty decent. The only other suggestion I'd make is to make the doodads you used for the engine glows a little bit brighter.

Wow serthi I thought you were bad at shipbuilding ( exept for mechs ) but this little orange ship is great, the saturation is a bit high on the orange but still, really nice ship make more .

I gotta say, I love the form of the patrol craft, especially as smaller ships go. I have different feelings over what colors should be used in combination, but I'll keep those to myself since you've been prodded enough about color.

That grey piece on the front is the cockpit window/ bridge, correct? You could darken it, and then use some low alpha doodads to give it a shine like on SS's latest ship.
