Built in a day. Whee.
Freeform Category - Capellan Titan
Spoiler!
Ever since it's discovery in the Capella system, this ancient starship has proven to be a major thorn in the side to anyone attempting to enter the system. Due to it's habit of destroying all vessels entering the system, Capella has been placed off limits to all craft.
The vessel appears to be based around crystals of unknown make. The main weaponry appears to be a set of crystals mounted in the arms that project lightning at other vessels like something out of a bad sci-fi movie. This is further supported by an array of point defence lasers which intercept projectile weaponry. The purpose of the crystals at the back is unknown, but it is presumed to act as a form of propulsion system. The vessel is defended not only by the aforementioned point-defense lasers, but also by a set of crystals at the front that seem to slow down projectiles, and to top it off, boasts a regenerating energy shield, heavy armour, and some form of self-repair system.
Spoiler!
The titan wiping out the 14th battlegroup in a failed attempt to eliminate it.

LIMITED STOCK wrote:
Permitted Sections: Sections that come with the game only.
Now, I'll assume for a moment Limited Stock was a typo on your part, and you meant "Freeform". In response to that question, I'll respond thusly:
Read the fucking rules and don't ask stupid questions.

Limited Stock
Earth Coalition EC-HC99 Dawnspark-class Heavy Bombardment Cruiser
'Towards the end of the First Intra-Solar War, the Coalition Fleet Command, attempting to break the 4-year long stalemate against the Union Fleet, they initiated the "Dreadnought Project", aiming to build super-warships in order to gain advantage against the MPU. The resulting product is the Dawnspark-class. However, the Dawnspark-class' idea is indeed centuries old, for it is nothing more than a huge battleship armed with massive amounts of kinetic and ballistic weapons.' - An excerpt from Space Weapons from the Late 21st Century by D.A. Howles
Custom Section Allowance: None. No custom sections what-so-ever. The stuff that comes in the Custom sprites folder is pretty much all fair game, but no other sections are to be downloaded or used.
i'd sort that out before Anna roasts you alive...

I am getting really sick of people not reading the rules properly, Cheesy.

Okay, there's like nine days remaining until the deadline. Maybe I'm hoping for the impossible here, but I'd really lovely to get a few more entries before the deadline comes rolling along. It's looking like I might have to scrap the Fanship category, but... eh.
Also, all the judges sound of. Like, seriously. You signed up to Judge, so I want to know you're actually here. If you applied for a judging position and I gave it to you, and you don't show up to actually do your job, I will be most displeased.
Alright then.
EDIT: Oh, and fair warning. If you submitted a ship and it doesn't load in game properly or doesn't comply to the section limitations for the category you submitted it to, you will be instantly disqualified. I'm not going to go through all the submissions to check if they work properly, and then patiently give you time to fix it. Too much hassle. If a ship doesn't work, I will disqualify it on the spot, so if you're not sure your ship is mostly error-free, make sure. Thank you kindly.

Backstory
Spoiler!
The mysterious group calling themselves the Gharvengei has been raiding the outer systems of our space for a while. Casualties have been very high, and all contact with a ship that has been identified as the Angreb-class dreadnought was among them. Their capabilities have shown themselves at the Battle of Santa Maria just a month ago. The result were disturbing to say the least.
In that battle, a routine patrol was going through the UCS-109 system, exploring it for possible colonization. Three hostile battleship signatures were detected. The patrol quickly warped out and notifed the local garrison at Santa Maria. One Admiral Gaitautas led task force fifteen to remove them. When he entered, three of these Angrebs attacked with very strange weaponry, causing severe losses before Gaitautas' forces managed to get a single shot off. Calling for reinforcements, he attacked further. By the time the elite 'Bulldog' fleet entered the battle, Gaitautas' force had taken up to 65% casualties and had failed to break through the enemies' shielding, which scans report is thickest in front. Gaitautas was ordered to retreat adn the Bulldogs engaged.
The bulldog's forces had taken moderate losses, and Gaitautas's force had been all but neutralized. Full casualty count: 3,577 dead, 2,011 wounded. Twelve ships lost, eight too damaged to recover and scrapped.
Enemy losses unknown, but expected to be low. One enemy vessel moderately damaged. Enemy ships shown to have poor point defenses, but powerful frontal particle shielding to compensate. Both admirals also reported that ships has shocking quality of apparent self-repair in mid-battle. Scientists looking into validity of this claim.
