This is my first time, I'm nervous. Any suggestions how i can improve the corvette in aesthetics?

Well, first of all, you may want to add some screenshots to that.
As for the ship itself, I like it. I think it's well shaded and coloured, the sectionwork is decent, the weapons look fine on it all. It could use some finer details and doodading. There also seems to be a spot where some large engine would go, yet there are no sections that really look like thrusters or anything of the sort. If you add a more engine-esque section, I'd suggest also adding an engine glow and maybe a thruster module. But other than that, nice ship.

um i added different weapons and added two big engines (I should have added one) and i also added some glows and I am working on the doodads also I am thinking of what can add to detail the ship itself.

I wanna build a ship based of a game, a rogue like called Faster Than Light or FTL for short. any suggestions on how i should start it?

Uh, I'd recommend that you don't. The shape and composition is quite bland, and wouldn't translate well to BSF. For example, the ship there could be assembled in right about 5 sections. Which is something that is bad.

Yeah, maybe you could've just used one engine instead of two, but other than that, pretty good.

I abandoned the idea of the Shiny ship hybrid.... I couldn't think of ideas.
