Old blue? I personally liked your first color setting - dark gray that is, but I suppose everyone here has different taste. perhaps you should just use whatever color you find comfortable?

Try to keep a decent balance of ships. Use lasers if you wish, if you don't, use battery weapons with similar values.

War for the universe is a very informal thing - There's no strict rules and as noted, balancing is very rough. If you need help, look in the old Laser wars thread and the balancing document on Google docs (I''ll pull up the link shortly)

EDIT2: I should mention that before you start, think of a design/colour scheme for your faction. Also, if you hadn't already, learn to use Shiny sprites to fit with the other ships.

Oh about the TSE.............. the reason why i created Nova.........I lost the TSE due to reformatting of my computer you may wish to recreate them if you want since they are fairly easy to create and i don't care about it anymore. I may use them as rebels if only that madafakin conficker worm didn't attack my com but if you want i'll make a more advanced version of the TSE.
