I am proud to introduce and unveil (after much testing).

HLB 07 Hydra

Image

HP: 1500
Speed: 1.5
Accel: 0.1
Turning: 1.25
AI Range: 1000

Weapons:
"Abyssal Maw" rotary cannon array: Heavy Blue Laser x 12 (Interceptable)
Heavy Red Beam x 2
Might add PD later, but don't see it necessary at the current time.

Giving it the transformation process that I devised is a quick and painless shipbuilding experience. Much easier than expected.

Awesome transformation Z, maybe you can be the next D00D once your more experienced to triggers and by the next D00D i mean the next trigger master.

Shame the skill with triggers doesn't also grant skill at making ships which actually look good.

Only been playing three months, Anna. At least I put forth a decent effort and the shapes vary.
Thanks Cryo and Necro for a positive review.

The transformation process only took about an hour to make. The "Abyssal Maw", six hours.

Oooh, burrrrrn.

Still, I have to agree with Anna. The ships aren't aesthetically pleasing, regardless of the technical ability orchestrated in their creation, which lessens the impact of what is quite clearly hard work.

That statement wasn't targeting Anna. He's been here 6+ years, while I have only been here 3 months. Of course, my ships aren't perfect. Triggers are either known or not. Shipbuilding takes practice.

The actual ship is not terrible, but it is a bit jumbled. The triggers do make it better, otherwise the whole thing is just "meh"

I would appreciate constructive criticism for improvement.
The two round sections are bases for weapons.

It would look cool if the "spikes" on the side folded in and out when the trigger was activated, and they would be delayed, so they come up in order. Maybe have those wings in the back fold in. And possible the side weapon bases to move in as well.

I think they'd be better if the spikes were straight, but then transformed into their angled state.

Looks cluttered now, but coloring would fix that. Also, you should put mini hex glows on those spikes that come online when they reach the final stage. Still, my trigger expertise lacks enough to criticize here.
