Contra; the menu has sudenly vanished into a small puff of smoke.

It's called screensaver mode. Hit the Home key.

secondly: O.o... very nice. Will this allow us to import our own ships in (without actually editing the code, of course), or will it simply just have a revised/ expanded list of random ships to choose from?

I think I'm going to like that screensaver mode...
