(Continuing from page 2, this thread's so big right now I kinda have to ^^; )

17) More of an idea, really... Large missiles of several varieties which attach to hardpoint-looking things... They are quite prominent and mainly BIG, taking off from the hardpoint-thing, maybe even simply not reloading at all. A powerful one-shot thing.

18) Cracker... A Complex Ordnance which breaks up into a minefield at the predetermined destination.

19) Pulsating beams: these are basically laser pulses, but after going straight for a few moments they ball up and pause, before homing in on the enemy, going towards it again before repeating the process...

20) Tarpit: Another Complex Ordnance. Deploys an EMP system which slows all ships in an area around it...

21) Evil Little Red Laser of Targeting Doom: A thin laser 'scans' over the enemy vessel, placing volatile nanites on the hull, which detonate after a few seconds. These nanites can be shot off prematurely, which leaves 'em harmless. However, detonating 'em causes MASSIVE damage, like a torpedo...

22) Tesla Torpedo! Fire a ball at a location. It sends off sparks around itself, killing things dead in the vicinity.

23) Meson Beam, Meson Torpedo, Meson Shields. These are weapons that can't be stopped by anything except Meson Shields and Aegis. However, the Meson Shields cannot stop anything other than Meson Weaponry!

24) Drones with different weaponry... Somewhat solved with the Ship Deployer, but still...

I like the ELRLTD (wow, that acronym sucks. ^^). Seems like a good idea, but would probably be hard to implement.

A suggestion for you, Einy; have the blast stay still relative to the gun barrel.

There's just something that feels wrong about how it follows the barrel backwards, IMHO. :?

Is basically a Pulsar/Repeater combo. Shots leave the barrel fairly slowly but very rapidly accelerate after that point. V. hard to intercept and deals light to moderate impact damage (no AoE) to the target. No guidance and fairly poor accuracy, so it relies on it's very high speed to hit the target.

NB: Shard quantity is determined by total damage / shard damage, much like the Weasel gun.
